Questions, answered.
The things people ask us most about giving, partnering, and getting help.
- Is my donation tax-deductible?
- We're a Nigerian Incorporated Trustee registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. UK and US donors should check with their local tax adviser – at present we don't issue tax receipts outside Nigeria, but we're working on partner arrangements to make this possible.
- Can I cancel my monthly donation at any time?
- Yes – anytime, no questions asked. Email donate@easepath.org and we'll cancel within 24 hours.
- How do I know my donation actually reached families in Lagos?
- Every donor receives the first name of the family or child their gift supported, along with photos from the relevant outreach. We share quarterly updates with photos, costs, and stories.
- What percentage of my donation goes to programmes?
- Currently 92% of every donation goes directly to families – food, school fees, uniforms, and crisis care. The remaining 8% covers payment processing fees and basic operating costs (we have no paid staff).
- Can I donate items instead of money?
- Yes – uniforms, school books, and non-perishable food are always welcome at our Ajao Estate office. Please email first so we can coordinate.
- How do I refer a family who needs help?
- Call or WhatsApp the number on our contact page. A trustee will respond within 48 hours. We prioritise mothers and children in immediate crisis.
- Do you partner with other organisations?
- Yes – we work with local schools, hospitals, and faith communities across Lagos. See our partnership page or email partnerships@easepath.org.
